Difference between Incoloy 825 Hex Bolts and 925 Hex Bolts-

Image
Alloy 825  (Incoloy 825, UNS N08825, 2.4858) and  Alloy 925  (Incoloy 925, UNS N09925) are nearly identical in composition, and therefore provide very similar corrosion resistance and physical properties. However, Alloy 925 provides significantly higher levels of strength as it benefits from precipitation strengthening. Small additions are made to its composition, which allows the formation of microscopic precipitates when the alloy is subjected to an extended heat-treatment process. These fine precipitates increase the yield strength by up to 4x. v   Features of Incoloy 825 Hex Bolts and 925 Hex Bolts- ·          Incoloy 825 Hex Bolts  are highly resistant to corrosion. It has a high nickel content which is sufficient to eliminate stress corrosion of chloride ions and is a very stable austenite structure. The copper and molybdenum contents allow the alloy to remove reducing agents and acids. Its chromium provid...

All You Need to Know About Stainless Steel 310 Pipes

Image
Stainless Steel 310 Pipes are austenitic and have a medium carbon content. They are highly appropriate for applications in high temperatures. The SS UNS S31000 is highly resistant to oxidation and corrosion. The anti-corrosive properties are due to the chromium-nickel composition. It is a high chromium and medium nickel composing alloy. They are highly suitable for applications in environments containing Hydrogen Sulphide. The Stainless Steel 310 Pipes is commonly used in severe cryogenic environment applications. Grade 310 SS Rods are incredibly tough and have low magnetism. These Rods do not work well in severe carburizing environments like petrochemical industries. The Stainless Steel 310 Pipes are hardened by the cold working procedure. But this process is not usually practiced. These pipes cannot be hardened by hot working them. Stainless Steel 310 Pipes are available in a variety of forms including SS 310 Welded pipes, seamless pipes, etc. Industrial Applications: Appl...

Advantages of Alloy Steel Seamless Pipes

Image
In Today’s time, it is very obvious that there are different types of steel pipes readily available in the domestic and international market. They are designed with different materials and manufacturing techniques to satisfy different kinds of requirements for practical purposes. Since we talk enough more about several common types of pipe, we will give more information on another important type of pipe: seamless steel pipe. The Alloy Steel P22 Seamless Pipe manufacturing process begins with a solid, round steel billet. This billet is then heated to high temperatures and stretched and pulled over a shape until it takes the shape of a hollow tube. It is different from the welded pipe which is produced by rolling a sheet of steel into a tube and welding the seam.  In Addition, the welded pipe joint has been viewed as a weak point, vulnerable to failure and corrosion. The main perceived benefit of seamless pipes is that they don’t have a weld seam. Therefore, the tensile stren...

Choosing the Right Stainless Steel Nipple for Industrial Applications

Image
Commonly used in several different industrial applications, applications consist of a variety of different types. Although nipple fittings can be made from a variety of different materials, stainless steel nipple is a well-known kind of pacifier, largely due to its inherent strength and durability. Features of Stainless Steel Nipple - Impact Resistance- The austenitic microstructure of the SS Nipple provides high toughness, making these steels particularly suited to healthcare environments. Corrosion Resistance- Stainless Steel nipple is used extensively in hospital environments and food processing environments. Hygiene- The hard metal surface of the SS teat makes it difficult for bacteria to adhere to and survive. Its ease of cleaning makes it the first choice for strict hygienic conditions. Recyclable- SS nipple is 100% recyclable. 50% of the new stainless steel comes from old remodeled stainless steel scrap, completing the entire life cycle. Aesthetic Appearance- The bright, easily ...

The Most Common Flange Types

Image
The use of different types of flanges for different purposes is vital. Standard types of flanges : these flanges are used for piping applications, which mainly depend on the required strength for the flanged joint. These types of flanges are basically used for welding connections, and to facilitate maintenance operations. a)     Blind flanges :   Unlike all the types of flanges mentioned above, this flange type does not have a center hole. Stainless Steel Blind Flanges are mostly used to seal the end or opening of a pipe. These are used to blind or seal a pipeline, a valve /pressure vessel and block the flow of the fluid. Blind flanges allow easy access to the pipelines, because they can be easily unbolted to let the operator execute activities inside the terminal end of the pipe. b)    Slip on flanges : This type of a flange is connected to the pipe or fittings by two fillet welds, from which one is executed outside and one is executed inside...

How is Aluminum Plate made-

Image
The Aluminum Plate manufacturing process can be divided into three phases; the first bauxite, which contains aluminum, is extracted from the ground. Bauxites are transformed into alumina or aluminum oxide and finally, in the third step, pure aluminum is produced using electrolytic reduction, a process in which aluminum oxide is broken down into its components using electric current. Almost   about 45 tons of bauxite is made into two tons of alumina from which about one tons of aluminum can be manufactured. Many minerals are available in the world, whose aluminum can be done, but the most common raw materials are bauxite. Bauxite is a mineral composed mainly of aluminum oxide mixed with other minerals. Bauxite is considered high quality if it contains more than 50% aluminum oxide. v    v    Bauxite supplies- ·          Confirmed global bauxite supplies are estimated at 18.6 billion tons. At the current level of...

What are the different types of copper pipes?

Image
Copper pipes are mainly used in water supply networks because they are inexpensive and long-lasting. Copper pipes come in various shapes and sizes, but they all have one thing in common - they can be easily cut to suit the needs of the user. The 3 types of copper pipes are: *Solid-copper pipe *Compression-joint copper pipe *Lined copper pipe What are the advantages of using copper pipe? Copper pipe has many advantages over other pipes, including being less expensive, more durable, easier to install, and environmentally friendly. Copper is a recyclable metal that has been around for centuries. It is estimated that the world’s copper supply could last for at least another 4,000 years. Copper pipe also requires less material to make than other pipes which makes it less expensive. Copper piping provides greater durability than PVC piping and this means you won't need to replace it as often. The installation process of copper piping is much simpler than for other types of p...
