Choosing the Right Stainless Steel Nipple for Industrial Applications

Commonly used in several different industrial applications, applications consist of a variety of different types. Although nipple fittings can be made from a variety of different materials, stainless steel nipple is a well-known kind of pacifier, largely due to its inherent strength and durability.

Types of Stainless Steel Nipples and their Application-


Among the various types of stainless steel nipple types are hex nipple, closed nipple, reducing nipple, long hex nipple, solder nipple, and pipe nipple. Nipple fittings that do not have an unthreaded or bare pipe section between the two connection ends are generally referred to as runny nipples or closed nipples. When a hexagonal nipple has a greater distance between the two threaded ends, it is called a long hexagonal nipple.


In many of the applications, the space available between the two threaded ends can be a very small hexagonal nipple is regularly the excellent preference on this form of application, because it works much like a nut and gives a higher mechanical advantage. When a hexagonal nipple functions extra distance among the 2 threaded ends, it's far known as an extended hex nipple.
